Has anyone tried the new FDA approved weight loss drug ALLI? If so, what were your results.?

Answer:
I tried it and you do loose a lot of weight, BUT if you eat grease you're going to **** grease. I do literally mean grease!! If you eat too much grease you will feel like you are in labor your stomach will cramp so bad! I don't think it's worth it. I stopped taking it because I couldn't handle not being able to hold it when you go to the bathroom and then the literal feel of grease is horrible!!
Read the possible side effects and warnings very carefully... it might sound familar like some other approved drug.Hmmm anal leakage? YIKES!
poop in your pants

Has anyone tried the new drug Alli that the FDA approved?

I know it is still early for results, but I was wondering if anyone had tried Alli and what the results were?
Answer:
My mother bought ALLI about 2-3 weeks ago. She's the kind of person who looks for a "quick fix", and i'm the kind who knows it takes hard work to lose weight...and KEEP it off! She most definitely experienced all of the bad side effects that so many have been talking about on ByeDr.com: loose oily stools, spotting, really bad gas, etc. But as I said before, she was looking for a quick fix! She didn't hardly follow the diet plan, and she would cheat all the time. She hates reading labels, so she did it rarely, not really seeing how many fat grams were in everything that she put in her mouth. I decided, since i've been trying to lose weight again recently (15 lbs. so far!) I might as well get some extra help since it's beach season now. I religiously read all labels, and I do work out. I don't even really like working out that much, but I make myself like it! I lost about 3 lbs. so far, but it's still early; I know i'm gonna be seeing consistent results! I have had an occasional run in with the bathroom in the almost 1 week i've been taking it, but we are all human. Sometimes I knew I was eating to much fat in one meal, and would suffer the consequences later, but that's why i LOVE ALLI, b/c it makes you AWARE of what NOT to eat. If you know you're going to be on the toilet for a 1/2 hr. singing the blues over one of the worst bowel movements you've ever had, you'll think twice about accepting that double glazed donut your friend is offering you! And w/o even realizing it, you've also just banished about 350 calories form your day as well. If you eat right, you won't have all these horror stories you're gonna hear about...and ALLI forces you to think about what you're going to eat...i love it! I've got about 25 more lbs. to go before i'm at a healthy BMI, and before I look great in a bikini! I think everyone who has 20+ lbs. to lose should try it! GOOD LUCK!
If you know it's still early, why do you think anyone would have results already?
The over the counter drug Alli is a lower dose of a prescription drug that has been around for a couple of years.
I participated in the stage 3 tests a bunch of years ago. I dropped out, it was awful.
What it does is not allow your body to process about 1/4 of the fat you eat. Fat is dense in calories. You have to take supplements of a number of fat soluble vitamins because you may become deficient in them.
The worst thing is when you poop. It burns feels greasy and you basically ahve to take a shower after each BM.
If you eat to much fat at any meal you will be running (and leaking as you run) to the washroom within minutes.

Has anyone tried the new diet pills Allie?

I just bought a bottle and was wonderning if they actually work. Anyone?
Answer:
Just bought it also. been reading about it for awhile.you need to start by eating low-fat, low-calorie foods about 1 week before you start. (that's the stage I'm at) What it does is that it deteres you from eating fatty foods by making you go #2 if you eat more fat than you are supposed too. I mean it really makes you go, oily, watery, never know when it will happen! That would keep me from eating fatty foods in a heart beat! Good luck to the both of us ! (need to lose 35lbs)
yes I recently just started taking this Alli.
I started on Friday and I've taken it before each meal.
If you already eat under 15g of fat each meal i'm not sure HOW much it will really help you. I do stay under that every meal because i generally eat very healthy but i am taking the pill with my meals.
You will see an orangy oily substance in your stool if you do eat fatty, fried +15g of fat meals. I have yet to see it in my stool.
I do feel lighter though and I feel like it will help out.
It's only been 3 days so i cannot confirm a huge difference. But I will come back to you in a week or so if your still interested.
My mother is also taking it and she has seen the oily substance after she ate some fried chicken and coleslaw, etc.
I've heard good things about this product but it is a tid bit expensive.
i hope this helps a little =] good luck

Has anyone tried the new diet pill alli i want to know if it really works?

Answer:
Any pill that tells me to wear dark pants to avoid embarrassment, better offer me something better than an additional seven pounds over four months as long as I exercise and diet.
I have heard that if you take it and eat fatty foods, youd better be close to the bathroom!
Weight loss pills are widely advertised as quick method to lose weight. These are food supplements and are not regulated by the FDA or any authority. Some weight loss pills may help you lose weight for a short time, but after a month or so, the body becomes immune to them.
I found information on weight loss pills and their side effects at http://www.toloseweight.org/weightlosspi...
My friend tried it for a week and stopped. She was experiencing embarrasing side effects. Oily flatulence, uncontrollable bowels, etc.
I have not tried it, but any diet aid that will result in oily discharge and uncontrolled bowel movements if you go over too many fat grams in a meal is not a good idea. The only thing that truly works is proper food choices and portion sizes along with exersize, exersize and exersize! Good Luck!
yes, it really works at making duky deposits when you least expect it.

Has anyone tried the new diet patch.cellu-light?

the mailer arrived today and says you lose 24 pounds in 4 weeks.?
Answer:
I got it too. Glad to see there are some comments here. I'm sure we will discover something on the net in the near future. I did go to a web site for Cellu Light today and it was in French. Tried to email the contact email and it was returned. Anyhow, you are right that is sounds a bit too good to be true to work that effectively for everyone! Glad someone started this discussion, it's helping me to refrain until I hear more.I am using the fucothin by Garden of LIfe as recommended by Dr. Mercola. It takes a while to work but I do think it helps. I have not really been dieting and after 6 weeks using it I did experience some weight loss when I was expecting a weight gain instead. So for now I'm sticking with that and hoping I will watch my eating and do a bit more exercise like they recommend to do while taking the fucothin.Look forward to see what we end up discovering about the patch.......
GIMMICK
Unfortunately I want to know the same answer. I just received the information in the mail too. Have you found anything out yet? If so, let me know.
I got the ad, too, and was very curious.
I haven't found anything about it specifically yet, but I did find this:
http://www.ftc.gov/opa/2004/12/transderm...
which sounds similar to the cellu-light information.
I'm in Lubbock, TX and received this same mailer. Very tempting, isn't it. It has a New York, NY address, but no web address and nothing yet in web searches. I'm pretty sure it is a foreign company that has less than honorable 'studies'. I'm also pretty sure nothing is 100% effective to loose 24 pounbs in 4 weeks, though. Too good to be true for me. lt
I just got the mailer myself and jumped on the web to see if there was any concrete evidence supporting their claim. I haven't found any so far. Glad I'm not the only one who's curious.
I just got the same info in the mail with the same New York address. I came on the web to do a search and came up empty also. I think I'll hold out until I hear more. It sound to good to be true. They claim they did this "study" and every last person lost weight and that there was not one side effect!!! I don't know.
I received the mailer yesterday. When I searched some of the claims I came up empty. There is no Samuel DeTilly at Oxford University nor is there any clincial trial that has been done there on this product or it would have appeared in a search. The National Centre they refer to is for Social Studies (not much connection to a health care product). The Web site is in French which contradicts the claims that this is an English Company. When I researched the phone number two companies came up: Bayou Health Center out of Pensacola Fl which no longer is in business and had an unsattisfactory record with the BBB. The other RMCC Agencies out of Worcester, Ma is not responding to the BBB and has been sending promotional materials of other products with very untrue claims. Stay away. I have made a claim with the Federal Trade Commission - I recommend you also do so.

Has anyone tried the new Alli Diet Pill?

If so is it working for you? Thank you for any info you can provide.
Answer:
I have been on Alli for about 2.5 weeks (when ever it came out). I was terrified of the explosive bowels I kept hearing about, so I started on a weekend when I was home. I have never had an accident or near accident. While taking this I am definitely more conscious about what i eat, and even though I could skip a pill if I wanted to be bad, there is enough drug in my system to still cause a treatment effect. In fact, I have actually been a little constipated and have had to use stool softeners a couple of times, still no "accidents". I have never had oily spotting or anything. Yes I do see the oil in the toilet, yes it is gross, but I'd rather it be there than in my body, and I know the pills are working!!Being on this pill has helped me with my will power, knowing if I really want to eat something I shouldn't, there may be very undesirable consequences!!I have lost over 10 pounds so far and shocked to see the weight go down a little each day!I'd say if you can follow the guidelines of the 15 grams of fat per meal you should do just fine!!
I wanted to know the same...looking forward to hearing these answers!
Read about the side effects. They ask you to wear your brown pants to work, just in case. No weight loss is worth pooping yourself.
I thought about it, but then I got the pamphlet for it- after reading it, I am too scared! It seriously said that if you go over 12 grams of fat in a meal, you may experience "gas with an oily discharge"... and then goes on to say "you may recognize this as looking like the grease on top of a pizza"... I am not kidding! I got the pamphlet from the display at Walmart.
No but you shouldn't resort to those pills when you want to lose weight because they are very unhealthy ways to lose it.
You should try the hoodia pill. It isn't a fat burner but it can make you not want to eat anything for several hours. Look for it in stores that is a good pill as long as you eat right and excersise while taking it.
No, I have not. But many of the side effects seem to inhibit normal functioning. If I need to take a change of clothes with me, in case I have an "accident", that's not good. They say if you keep your fat intake under 15mg(or grams, whatever) you will not have to worry about leaking greasy stools. But my theory is, if you can make a conscious effor to decrease your fat intake to avoid that side effect...what do you need the medicine for? Additionally, it does not effect carbohydrate consumption, which is often a big deal for individuals that need to lose weight.I'm not saying you shouldn't try it. But, definately be wary of the potential side effects. Who wants to go out with a big oily feces spot on the back of their pants?
My sister was on it when it was prescription only. I guess the only difference is that it was a little stronger. She lost like 30lbs in a month, but had to be very careful how much fat she took in because it can cause you to have loose stool because it extracts lot of the fat you eat. Good Luck!
I started taking it last week Tuesday and lost a total of 9 pounds- this week I have been slacking with the diet, but haven't put the weight back on. I don't have any crazy side effects. Usually the people that say you will crap on yourself haven't tried the pill. Its very hard to do that considering that starter pack even brings a low fat diet you can follow.
