Grapefruit Diet?

Hi. My friend recenetly has lost over 26 lbs doing this but i'm starting to wonder if it would work for me too.How exactly should I eat daily?
and tips?

-Drink 8-10 glasses of water everyday.-Cut down on the calories, carbs (there's good, and bad carbs.The bad cars are chips, sodas etc.), fats, and sugars you consume.-Try to eat more fiber, protein, and have some wheat too.-Try doing some pushups, because the more muscle you have the more calories your body burns.-You HAVE to cut down on all the junk food you eat. I know it's hard, but atleast try to cut back somewhat. If you feel like you are hungry try to have some water, but if you want food, then try to snack in between meals only have fruit and veges, apple, carrot sticks, remember try to eat an apple and banana a day.-I suggest taking out all fizzy drinks and juices. -Have a good breakfast. Breakfast is so important.-Eat lean meat. -I started swimming every morning about 3 weeks ago before I ate breakfast, so far I have lost about 20 pounds of fat, and have gone down 2 waist sizes. I look, and feel way better because when you do a form of cardio exercise before you eat, you are burning the stored fat (stomach, and everything else), other than burning the food you just ate. Plus swimming burns fat, and tones up your muscles. 2 In 1!Hope this helps! Good Luck!
Diets based on one type of food are extremely unhealthy. They do produce results but not in a healthy way and the weight you loose will just be regained once you start eating normally. It has been shown that drinking a glass of grapefruit juice or eating a half of a grapefruit each morning helps you loose weight when combined with eating healthier.

Breakfast: 1/2 grapefruit or 8 oz. g.f. juice
2 eggs (any kind), 2 pieces of bacon
Lunch: 1/2 g.f. or 8 oz g.f. juice
Salad, any kind of dressing
Any kind of meat, as much as you want
Dinner: 1/2 g.f. or 8 oz. of g.f. juice
Salad or any GREEN vegetable
Meat, any kind, as much as you want
Evening snack: 8 oz. of skim milk or 8 oz. of tomato juiceStay on for 12 days, off for 2. Follow this EXACTLY!. The only way it works is if you follow it exactly. You'll lose 5 lbs. the 5th day and 1/2 lb. per day after that.
The Rules:You must drink eight 8oz. glasses of water daily (64 oz. total per day).
At any meal you may eat until you are full.
You must eat the minimum listed at each meal. (yep, this diet list the minimum you should eat).
You cannot eliminate anything from the diet. Especially the bacon at breakfast and the salads. You must eat the bacon and salads. These combinations of food burn the fat, omitting one part of the combination will cause the whole thing not to work.
