Green Tea... ?

I have 4-12 Cups of Green Tea a day.
Since i am trying to reduce my hunger craving and this appears to be working.
Are there any effects on having 12 cups of green tea?
is that too many?
i am being healthy? Since now i am having only 3 meals a day. instead of snacking every hour.
Thanks in advance,
-Harry
Answer:
apparently green tea speeds up your metabolism, something to do with the antioxidants it contains..so yes you are being very healthy and you can never have too many cups of green tea...good luck with your regime!!(To date, the only negative side effect reported from drinking green tea is insomnia due to the fact that it contains caffeine. However, green tea contains less caffeine than coffee: there are approximately thirty to sixty mg. of caffeine in six - eight ounces of tea, compared to over one-hundred mg. in eight ounces of coffee.)
I believe green tea has something in that thins the blood as I am sure i heard it was used in some high blood preassure medications. i would be careful and not drink too much or if you bleed your blood might not clot.
your supposed to have 300 mg of it within a day.. thats about 4 and half bottles that you buy in the store. make sure you buy the diet though... it helps boost your metabilism. im doing it too, just started.
It depends on how much the portion of tea leaves you are
putting.
Four tea bags used for 12 cups, I think should be OK in a day.
If you are talking about 12 teabags equivalent in a day, it may
be too much wastage. As you know the same teabag still
adds up nice flavour if you add up boiling water in the cup.
Green tea is the best and carries more anti-oxidants than
the other varieties.
Best wishes
Yes, there is such a thing as too much of a good thing. Especially when it comes to food and drink. Even too much water in too short a time can cause enough of an imbalance to kill you!Green tea has anti-oxident properties, binding up the free radicals that result from metabolic processes that can damage cells. That's the good news. The bad news is that it is a source of caffeine, which is an artificial stimulant and a diuretic, causing you to excrete more water than you would normally. You can enjoy caffinated beverages in limited, occasional quantities - it's gotten some good press recently on enhancing athletic performance - but really, not at the level you are consuming.Green tea has also been found to contain elevated levels of copper and aluminum, due to the way it is processed and these can be toxic to the body. If your tea has come from China, it may easily contain lead residue as well. You'd be better off by cutting back, limiting to 12 oz per day, and replacing the rest of your liquid intke with pure, filtered water. Add a squeeze of lemon, lime, or a cucumber slice to flavor if you like. If your blood sugar levels are balanced, it's quite normal to feel hungry every 3-4 hours and then you should eat something. A protein/complex carb combination, and a little bit of essential fats. I highly recommend the book Ultra Metabolism by Dr. Mark Hyman, if you are looking to find out how to balance your eating in a truly healthy way.
